2024 TRYOUTS ANNOUCEMENT

A MESSAGE OF DEPARTURE FROM OUR FORMER HEAD COACH

GRAND OPENING OF THE ALL STARS SHOP

A Message From the Champions /// Vamos Por Más!

2021 was an amazing 1st year in competition and blessing. God knows how long we’ve been waiting for this. We are thankful for having the opportunity to provide our hometown a platform to compete and we thank God for allowing us to do what we love to do.

We are impatient for the 2022 season to get underway and to get out onto the field and do what we like most. 2022 will be a year where we set new goals for both Cascadia Premier League and our first ever NISA Independent Cup participation. Our guys have set the bar high for the new comers and the expectation is still the same, we are coming out to compete in both competitions. The goal is to win Cascadia again and represent CPL well at the NISA Independent Cup.

NISA Independent Cup will allow us to continue to grow as a league and as a football club. We have a team that’s determined to compete and do well everywhere we go. This is a really great opportunity for future CPL champions to win a berth in the Independent Cup tournament. We want to represent the Wenatchee Valley well and celebrate another championship with our supporters. Vamos por más!

Trabajo Duro Resulta en Racha Ganadora /// Hard Work Results in Winning Streak

The Wenatchee All Stars Football Club are halfway through the season on the first year of the club competing at a state level. The team has shown a lot of character and great attitude as they face every game, whether at home or away. Wenatchee is currently ranked number one in the league with 7 wins and a draw. Likewise, the Stars seek to advance in the WA Super Cup tournament where they’ve won their qualifying match with a 2 – 0 score against the Everett Jets, a team from the EPLWA. Tomorrow’s game marks a 7-game winning streak away from home for our boys in both competitions; a streak and numbers that no other semi-professional team in the Wenatchee area has ever achieved.

This Saturdays game is at 1pm in Gig Harbor, WA as they boys face Harbor Soccer Club. It’s expected to be a hard-fought match with a Wenatchee team that comes from a weekend without seeing action but is ready to look to return home with 3 points and continue their unbeaten streak to 9 games.

“The guys have been working very hard and they continue to adapt to each other on the pitch. It is a very versatile group of players that work in sync with each other. It is also a group of players with extensive experience and a lot of youth as well; Benny JR Mejia Avalos is the youngest player on the team who is ready to make his debut at 15 years old. As a team we suffered a very big loss when Alex Espinoza, a key player for us in the center of the field, fractured his foot during a game early this season. The boys responded well and are pushing hard to adjust after Alex’s injury. I am very proud of the effort and sacrifice of each of the players in putting on the jersey and giving it their all in both training and on the field by representing Wenatchee and our soccer community in every game or training session. ”… Said head coach Mauricio Sánchez.

“The support of our community, family, and friends of the club is what fuels this team, without them there is no club. The boys are competing hard, building on previous games, and syncing with the idea to continue improving. All the effort and the heart that they put into training they are showing on match day. I am very happy to see them play, because their style of play is very unique and they are doing it very well. This team is made up of many individuals, from sponsors to the people who come to see the team play on weekends and everyone who contributes towards the growth of the club. I want to thank Juan Lopez for his help in various areas of the club, from graphic design, managing the website, to creating the players’ jerseys and training tops. God has a plan for us and we are just doing what we love and enjoying every minute of it”…  Said club owner David Sanchez.

This weekend, due to the high temperatures, Saturday’s game will be played at 1pm to rest and spend the night in the Seattle area and the next day they will face the PacNW team of the Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) on Sunday for the move to the semifinal of the Washington State Super Cup. The game will be on Sunday at 7pm at North SeaTac Park in SeaTac, WA.

“The Western Washington Premier League and WA state Super Cup are a great channels/platforms for our players to showcase their abilities, search and create opportunities for themselves, whether it is to play at a higher level or continuing their education and career as a student athlete at any of the higher education colleges our state has to offer. It fills me with excitement to see where our players can go as they follow their dreams.”…  Added head coach Mauricio Sanchez.

After this weekend the team rests for two weeks without action and returns at the end of July to compete in the Super Cup in case the pass is obtained this Sunday. While all the month of August we play the rest of the league games at home, even another weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday. Attached is the schedule for the rest of the Super Cup and league games. We are waiting for you and hope you enjoy a good football afternoon with your family.
